Samsung has announced an update to its Galaxy Ring smart ring. In January 2025, the device will receive two new sizes and expanded functionality, as well as become available in new countries.

Here's What We Know

When it was launched in the second half of 2024, Galaxy Ring offered sizes from 5 to 13. However, demand for the larger models exceeded expectations, causing a temporary shortage. Samsung has now added sizes 14 and 15, which will go on sale on 22 January. The new models will cost the same as the previous ones and will be available in all countries by 7 February.

Galaxy Ring will also be available in new regions: Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Greece, Hungary, Israel, Japan, Malaysia, Mauritius, New Zealand, Singapore, Slovakia, South Africa, Taiwan, Vietnam and Zambia. This will add to the list of 38 countries where the device is already sold. Since its global launch in July 2024, Galaxy Ring has expanded to Australia, Austria, Bahrain, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, China, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Iceland, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Korea, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Switzerland, and the United States, Ireland, Italy, Korea, Kuwait, Luxembourg, Mexico, the Netherlands, Norway, Oman, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

The new Samsung Health features for Galaxy Ring are aimed at improving sleep. In particular:

  • Sleep Environment Report: analyses the conditions in your room using SmartThings devices and offers recommendations for a more comfortable sleep.
  • Sleep Time Recommendation: Provides optimal hours for falling asleep and waking up according to your habits.
  • Mindfulness tracker: helps reduce stress and improve sleep through breathing, meditation, and emotional management exercises.
