Casio opens pre-order for new GA-010 and GD-010 watches in Japan with 10-year battery life
Casio has announced the start of pre-orders for the new GA-010-1A1JF and GD-010-1A1JF series in Japan. These models are updated versions of the popular GA-010 and GD-010 watches, with a display featuring a dark background and light numbers.
Here's What We Know
The main features of the new models include: up to 10 years of operation on a single battery (CR2025), LED-backlight, stopwatch and automatic calendar. The watches have a special style and functionality that makes them attractive to active users.
The GA-010-1A1JF and GD-010-1A1JF are similar to the GA-010CE-2AJF and GD-010CE-5JF models, but differ in the strap material. The CE models have Cordura straps made from recycled threads, while the new models are equipped with classic resin straps, making them 8 grams lighter (65 g for GA-010 and 67 g for GD-010).
The GD-010 has all the features of the GD-010CE. They include the ability to display the time in four cities, a stopwatch with an accuracy of 1/100th of a second, a timer and alarms.
The GA-010, like the GA-101CE, is equipped with Neobrite elements that glow in the dark. It also allows you to display the time in one of 48 available time zones.
These watches are now available for pre-order at ¥18,150 (~US$115) for the GA-010-1A1JF and ¥14,850 (~US$94) for the GD-010-1A1JF. Sales are expected to begin in Japan this month, but it is not yet known when or if these models will be available in other regions, such as North America.
