The aircraft arrived at Skridstrup Air Base on 12 January, bringing the total number of such combat vehicles in Denmark to 11. The new fighters departed from Luke Air Force Base in Arizona, USA, stopping in the Azores for refuelling.

Denmark received the first F-35A in April 2021, with subsequent batches of aircraft delivered to the country in 2022 and 2023. Initially, training and maintenance of the aircraft is being carried out at a base in Arizona, USA.
