American Textron Systems presents TSUNAMI family of surface drones

The American company Textron Systems has unveiled the TSUNAMI family of unmanned surface drones designed for the needs of the US Navy and allied countries.
Here's What We Know
The new drones are based on Brunswick Corporation's boat design, equipped with petrol engines to simplify logistics and use a control system from the Common Unmanned Surface Vehicle (CUSV) series, also developed by Textron.
The TSUNAMI family includes three models with a length of 7.3 m, 7.6 m and 8.5 m and a payload of 453.6 kg. The range of these drones varies from 600 to more than 1,000 nautical miles.

The TSUNAMI unmanned boats are designed for port security, mine countermeasures operations and other maritime security tasks.
The CUSV family, which is already in use by the US Navy, can be equipped with the AN/AQS-20C sonar or the Unmanned Influence Sweep System (UISS) to defuse acoustic and magnetic mines.
It has also recently become known that such drones have been deployed on Independence-class littoral combat patrol ships.
