Game of the Day: Hyper Light Breaker - a bright roguelite action game with hordes of enemies and a hoverboard

On 14 January 2025, Hyper Light Breaker, a sequel to the Hyper Light universe that takes players to a three-dimensional world with open biomes and dynamic gameplay, was released on Steam.

Here's What We Know

Hyper Light Breaker is an action adventure with roguelite elements developed by Heart Machine. Players enter a new area called Overgrowth, where they can explore procedurally generated worlds, fight hordes of enemies and powerful bosses, and uncover the secrets of this mysterious world. The game supports both single-player and co-operative multiplayer modes, allowing you to team up with friends for joint adventures.

The game features a dynamic combat system with a variety of weapons and abilities, the ability to explore large open biomes and deep labyrinths, as well as a character development system through collecting resources and improving the settlement. Players can use vehicles such as a hoverboard and a glider, which adds verticality and freedom of action to the gameplay.
