Android 16 may change the appearance of the volume sliders
Google unveiled version 15 of Android a few months ago and it has already been revealed that the company is working on Android 16. Recent leaks have revealed some of the key features of the new OS. In particular, the company plans to change the design of the volume slider.
Here's What We Know
It is reported that the new interface will abandon thick, tablet-shaped sliders in favour of thinner and more minimalistic ones with clear handles. The new volume slider may resemble the slider used in the Google Search widget's transparency adjuster. The leaked images show significant differences between the current version and the one that may appear in the next Android update.
The new minimalistic slider may appear in both the standalone vertical interface, which appears when you tap the physical volume buttons, and the horizontal interface, located in the advanced volume settings.
The music note icon is now at the bottom of the slider, and the three-dot icon that launches the Advanced Sound Control panel has been reduced in size. The new slider will be less rounded and will have a thin rectangular handle.
These changes managed to activate in the Android 16 DP2 code by the experts at Android Authority, but there is no guarantee that the new solutions will appear in the final version of Android 16.
