Re-Logic developers have confirmed that the long-awaited 1.4.5 update for Terraria has been postponed to 2025. This is the sixth "final" update that has been delayed due to the team's desire to ensure high quality content.

Here's What We Know

The update was originally planned to be released in 2023, but due to numerous additions and improvements, the release was postponed. "We realise that this may not please many people, but we strive to be a studio that puts quality first," wrote Re-Logic's Ted "Loki" Murphy.

Development leader Andrew "Redigit" Spinks also shared his ambitious plans: "Before I die, I will upload my consciousness to Terraria to troll players forever."

The authors also noted that Terraria will never die as long as there is a final update. Therefore, even if the 1.4.5 update is postponed, the game will live on.

Terraria continues to be popular among players even 14 years after its release, maintaining exceptionally favourable reviews on Steam.
