The VW ID.7 Pro S travelled 941 km on a single battery charge during an efficiency test
The standard VW ID.7 Pro S with 210 kW (286 hp) and an 86 kWh battery pack covered 941 kilometres on just one charge. This exceeded the model's maximum range on the WLTP cycle (up to 709 kilometres) by 232 kilometres or 32.7 percent. The average energy consumption during the journey was 9.2 kWh/100 kilometres. In diesel equivalent terms, this corresponds to approximately 1 litre per 100 kilometres.
Here's What We Know
The aim of the Nardo test was to determine the maximum efficiency of the ID.7 Pro S, introduced in 2024. Volkswagen emphasises that the test car has not undergone any technical modifications and was taken straight from production at the electric vehicle factory in Emden, Germany.

The VW ID.7 Pro S was driven in December by Volkswagen Driving Experience professional drivers on the Low Speed Ring circuit in Nardo in southern Italy in ambient temperatures between 5 and 15 degrees Celsius. The average speed during the performance test was 29 kilometres per hour, which corresponds to typical rush hour speeds in major cities. According to the latest "Traffic Index" study from navigation company TomTom, this ranges from 22 km/h (Hamburg) to 31 km/h (Amsterdam).
VW ID.7.
The all-electric model has been in series production since 2023. At the moment, the ID.7 is available in Europe with liftback and station wagon bodies (launched in February 2024). Base versions of the ID.7 Pro are equipped with a 77 kWh battery. In Germany, prices start at €53,995 for the liftback and €54,795 for the station wagon.
