Casio G-Shock GW-5000HS: pricing and launch details for black and white models confirmed

Casio has officially confirmed the launch of the G-Shock GW-5000HS series, which will begin in February. The new models include GW-5000HS-1ER (black) and GW-5000HS-7ER (white).
Here's What We Know
The watches are already available for pre-order on the company's official website in the UK for £279 (~$340).
The new models are part of the Heritage series and retain a stylish minimalist design that reflects the style of the original GW-5000 series from the 1980s. The watches have a durable case made of biodegradable resin, which enhances their environmental friendliness.

The main features include
- Tough Solar: charging from any light source.
- Multiband 6: automatic radio synchronisation of time with an atomic clock.
- 200 metres of water resistance: protection even in harsh conditions.
- Double backlight: provides easy reading of the time in the dark.
- Five daily alarms and world time function.
The first customers in the UK are expected to receive the watches after 20 February. In Japan, the new products will cost ¥50,000 (~$318). Information on availability in the US and other regions has not yet been specified, but the launch in European markets indicates rapid global expansion.
Casio recently introduced the new G-Shock GA-2100RL-1A and GA-110RL-1A bioresin shock-resistant watches in the US. Both watches feature environmentally friendly materials such as bioresin, as well as enhanced shock resistance and water resistance. The GA-2100RL-1A is a continuation of the successful GA-2100 series, which is known for its stylish carbon fibre case.
