Honda and Acura electric cars will have access to the Tesla Supercharger as early as spring

Owners of Honda and Acura electric cars in the U.S. will have access to Tesla's Supercharger network of charging stations in the spring. The connection will require an adapter that can be obtained from dealers of the two automakers, Lance Woelfer, vice president of sales for American Honda, told a press briefing.

Here's What We Know

Owners of two models, the Honda Prologue and Acura ZDX, will be able to take advantage of Tesla Supercharger stations. It's not yet clear if the adapter will be free or if it will have to be purchased.

In addition to accessing Tesla Supercharger's network of DC fast charging stations, one of the most advanced in the U.S., owners of Honda and Acura electric cars will also be able to continue using stations from other carriers, such as Ionna.

Tesla Supercharger and electric cars from other manufacturers

Honda's Mercedes-Benz will provide Tesla Supercharger access for its electric vehicles in the US from February 2025 that owners of its electric cars will have access to Tesla's fast charging network in February. BMW, Lucid and Hyundai are also in line to gain access to more than 15,000 Tesla Supercharger stations in the US and Canada. However, exact connection dates remain unknown. In the case of Kia, access was recently delayed from 15 January to spring 2025.
