Apple has provided developers with access to the third beta version of macOS Sequoia 15.3. The new update appeared a week after the release of the second beta version.

Here's What We Know

Developers who are registered in the Apple Developer programme can install the beta version through the Software Update section in System Preferences. To do so, you must have an Apple ID associated with your Apple Developer account.

macOS Sequoia 15.3 offers a new Genmoji feature that was previously only available on iPhone and iPad. With Genmoji, Mac users can create personalised characters using a text query, similar to the Image Playground feature.

Genmoji characters work like regular emojis on devices running iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1, macOS Sequoia 15.1 and later. On devices running earlier versions of iOS, macOS, iPadOS, or Android, Genmoji are sent as images. These new characters can be added through the emoji interface, and all images are generated directly on the device.

All Mac computers with Apple Silicon chips support Genmoji and other features based on Apple Intelligence technology.

On 7 January 2025, Apple introduced the second beta version of the macOS Sequoia 15.3 update, which became available three weeks after the first beta version was released.

Satechi recently introduced a new Mac mini dock with support for M.2 SSD expansion and access to the power button. This accessory aims to not only improve the usability of the device, but also add USB Type-A ports and an M.2 SSD expansion, which significantly expands the computer's capabilities.
