Casio announces new model of Comfy JT-200T calculator with updated design and solar panel on the top panel

To mark the 60th anniversary of its first calculator, Casio has announced a stylish new model with a relocated solar panel. The calculator features design elements from previous models, but also has a modern look and comes in several colours.
Here's What We Know
Casio has been making calculators for over 60 years, and to celebrate this important date, the company has introduced a new model with a new solar panel. The calculator will be available in several stylish colours.
The new model is the Comfy JT-200T, and unlike many Casio calculators where the solar panel is usually located above or next to the display, this model has a much larger battery that spans the entire length of the calculator and has been moved to the top of the device. Casio has tilted the panel so that it is not completely facing away from the user.

The calculator is made from a combination of materials that include recycled resin and mica, which are not easily scratched. It also features the Casio Mini font, which was first used in the Casio Mini calculator released in 1972. The calculator has a kickstand that tilts it 8 degrees and anti-slip feet. The screen can display up to 12 digits, and the keys have separate buttons for taxes.
Unlike some devices, such as Lenovo's supercapacitor wireless keyboard, the Casio calculator is powered by a CR2025 battery, which the company says will last up to 7 years with an hour of daily use.
Casio will release the Comfy JT-200T in Off White, Dark Gray, Grayish Pink, Grayish Green and Grayish Blue colours, so customers will be able to choose the model that best suits their space. The model is scheduled to be released on 30 January, and its price will be ¥3,850 (~$25/€24). There is no news yet on a wider release.
