Man arrested for the first time in Japan for selling modified Nintendo Switch

Japan has arrested a 58-year-old man suspected of selling modified Nintendo Switch consoles, the first such arrest in the country. Fumihiro Otobe, a transport worker from Ibaraki Prefecture, was arrested on 15 January on suspicion of violating the Trademark Law.
Here's What We Know
Otobe is accused of collecting used Switch consoles, modifying their circuit boards, and selling them online for ¥28,000 (about $180) per unit. In addition, each console was pre-installed with 27 pirated games.
According to NTV News, Otobe pleaded guilty and said: "I was curious to see if people would think I was cool if I sold modified consoles."
