Polestar 7 compact electric SUV to be produced in Europe

Despite a challenging 2024 with a change in leadership and falling sales, Swedish-Chinese brand Polestar is not giving up. As part of itsBusiness and Strategy Update 2025, the company has announced the first car to be produced in Europe - a compact electric SUV labelled Polestar 7.
Here's What We Know
The Polestar 7 will fall into the compact size category that the manufacturer already has the Polestar 4 coupe-like crossover, so it will be interesting to see what the new production model turns out to be. Perhaps it will be an alternative for the Polestar 2, the brand's first electric car, which looks like an elevated sedan. Since its launch in 2020, the Polestar 2 has undergone numerous updates and the brand has expanded its electric car lineup significantly.

Philipp Römers, Polestar's chief designer, said the Polestar 7 will embody progressive design and a focus on performance.
According to information published on Polestar Forum in April 2024, the Polestar 7 is planned to be produced in Slovakia, where Volvo will open a new factory in 2025. There is even speculation that the model could be a redesigned version of the Zeekr 007, but with Polestar design elements.
Model lineup and outlook
Polestar already has models 2, 3 and 4, and has also unveiled the Polestar 5 (a Porsche Taycan competitor) and the sporty Polestar 6 concepts. The Polestar 7 is expected to debut around 2027. By that date, the company plans to be profitable for the first time.
