MP1ST has revealed that the development of an RPG in the Warhammer universe, which was in active development, was cancelled due to funding issues. Thought Pennies, the studio that worked on the project, experienced several rounds of layoffs last year, which led to the loss of support from Games Workshop.

Here's What We Know

Although the game was never officially announced, it was described as a "co-operative PvE action RPG" on Unreal Engine 5 with unique characters and playstyles. The team was known to have received positive feedback on the development progress, but the sudden cancellation came as a surprise.

This project, which started back in 2022, promised to explore the themes of darkness and magic in the fan-favourite universe. Despite this setback, other projects within the Warhammer franchise remain in development.
