The website of the ESRB rating agency has published a rating for Resident Evil 6, which indicates a possible port of the game to modern consoles. According to the latest data, the game received an "M" (17+) rating for Xbox Series, which sparked rumours of its re-release.

Here's What We Know

The game was first released in October 2012 on Xbox 360 and PS3.

The game was ported to Xbox One and PS4 in 2016, and to Nintendo Switch in 2019, with all the add-ons.

The new rating indicates that Capcom may be preparing an updated version of Resident Evil 6, possibly with graphical improvements for new platforms. However, it is unclear whether the Resident Evil 5 port will receive a similar update.

It is interesting that at the time of writing, the ESRB has not yet provided a rating for the PS5 version, but given the popularity of the series, we can expect that releases for both platforms will take place simultaneously.

And remembering the success of the remakes of the previous parts of the series, Capcom will want to repeat it with other games.
