MG Motor has unveiled its new flagship SUV called Majestor at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025 in India. The new product is a re-badged version of the Maxus/LDV D90, which is already known in other markets. MG is positioning the Majestor as the "tallest, longest and widest" car in its segment.

Here's What We Know

The MG Majestor is characterised by its massive and brutal appearance. The large grille, square body shapes and high ground clearance emphasise the off-road character of the car. An important feature is the frame construction, which provides increased rigidity and off-road capability.

Since the Majestor is a re-modelled version of the 5046 mm long Maxus D90, it can be assumed that it will inherit most of the technical features. The D90 is available with a variety of engine options including petrol and diesel units, as well as all-wheel drive or rear-wheel drive. The Majestor is expected to be available in a three-row configuration, offering ample space for passengers and luggage.

Local media speculate that the Majestor is likely to be powered by a 2.0-litre turbo diesel engine with 215 hp and 480 Nm of torque. The engine is expected to be paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission, sending power to either the rear or all four wheels.

Market launch and price:

According to Autocar India, the MG Majestor is expected to hit the Indian market later in 2025, possibly as early as spring. The expected price ranges between $46,200 and $52,000.
