Electronic Arts has officially announced the complete closure of the Origin gaming platform on 17 April 2025. Users will need to go to the EA App, which works only on 64-bit versions of Windows.

Here's What We Know

Games will be automatically transferred when you log in to your account. You will also be able to save your game progress if you have activated cloud saves.

Origin, launched in June 2011, has been in operation for almost 14 years. The reason for its closure was the termination of support for 32-bit Microsoft software. Players using old computers will have to either upgrade the system or buy a new PC to continue playing EA games.
