On 21 January, the digital release of the gothic horror Nosferatu directed by Robert Eggers took place.

Here's What We Know

Nosferatu is a gothic horror film that is a remake of the classic 1922 film. The action takes place in 1838 in the fictional German town of Wiesborg, where a young realtor Thomas Gutter is tasked with making a deal with the mysterious Count Orlock, who lives in Transylvania.

While Thomas is staying at Orlock's castle, his wife Ellen begins to suffer from strange visions and vampire obsession.

With a budget of only $50 million, Nosferatu became one of the most successful films in the gothic horror genre, earning $150 million. The success was also influenced by the star-studded cast, where you can see William Defoe, Bill Skashgård, Lily-Rose Depp, Nicholas Hoult and others.
