The Bayraktar TB3 drone, into which the new ammunition was successfully integrated, demonstrated high efficiency during the tests.

Here's What We Know

The Bayraktar TB3 drone began testing the integration of ammunition after successfully testing take-off and landing on a ship with a short runway.

On 20 January 2025, it made its first test flight with Roketsan MAM-T ammunition and the ASELFLIR-500 system, hitting the target with high accuracy.

The Bayraktar TB3 also made a mark on 19 November 2024, when it took off for the first time from a TCG Anadolu ship, conducting a successful 46-minute flight over the Aegean and Mediterranean Seas. Subsequent tests confirmed its performance, including at 20,000 feet.

Powered by a TEI PD-170 engine, the Bayraktar TB3 reached an altitude of 36,310 feet during the tests and completed a 5,700 km flight in December 2023.

Designed with folding wings and equipped with a Beyond Line of Sight (BLOS) communication system, the Bayraktar TB3 is a versatile platform capable of operating from remote locations. This allows it to effectively perform intelligence, surveillance and engagement missions, making it a critical asset in Turkey's defence strategy.
