Rumours confirmed: the Xiaomi 15 Ultra with periscopic camera will debut in February

Xiaomi has confirmed that their new flagship smartphone Xiaomi 15 Ultra will be launched in February 2025.

Here's What We Know

President and CEO of Xiaomi's smartphone division, Lu Weibing, revealed the news in his "Lu Weibing Answers User Questions" video, clarifying that the device will arrive shortly after the Chinese Spring Festival, which starts at the end of January. Earlier rumours also pointed to a February launch and now it has been confirmed officially.

The global version of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra could be unveiled at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona and it is quite possible that a global version of the base Xiaomi 15 will be unveiled.

According to the latest rumours, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra will feature a Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, which is also used in the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro models. The back of the device will feature a large circular camera module with four cameras including a 50-megapixel main camera and a 200-megapixel periscopic telephoto camera. The smartphone will support 90W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. It is also expected to have an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner under the display and a 6,000mAh battery.
