The ambitious action-RPG Eternal Strands from Yellow Brick Games, an indie studio founded by one of the key creators of Dragon Age, Mike Laidlaw, will be released on the 28th of January.

The game may appeal to fans of Shadow of the Colossus and possibly Dragon's Dogma, but you don't have to wait a week to be sure.

Here's What We Know

PC gamers can already download the demo on Steam and Epic Games Store. It will take up to four hours to complete, and during that time players will be able to explore two vast locations, face three epic enemies, and try out three weapons and several spells.

Importantly, when purchasing the full version of Eternal Strands, all progress from the demo will carry over.

The release version of the game will be available on PC (on Steam, EGS), PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series, the game will be available immediately on Game Pass.

Flashback

Eternal Strands is similar to both Shadow of the Colossus and Dragon's Dogma: players will be able to climb on any part of a huge enemy's body and strike it in its most vulnerable spot.

Another feature of Eternal Strands will be a believable physical model: for example, fire or frost correctly spreads over the territory and destroys objects, and enemies can be burned or frozen, as well as move them out of place with the help of telekinesis.

In addition, in the action game you can directly interact with the environment, for example, using magic to build a bridge, fall a tree or destroy a building.
