Tomorrow - 23 January - the Xbox Developer Direct show will take place, where the main star will be DOOM: The Dark Ages. It is expected that in addition to gameplay footage and details of the new shooter, Microsoft and id Software studio will reveal the release date of the game.

Here's What We Know

Earlier the authoritative insider eXtas1s claimed that DOOM: The Dark Ages will be released in May 2025, and today the exact release date became known.

French portal Gamekult "accidentally" published an article that was supposed to be released after the Xbox Developer Direct. The article was quickly deleted, but it stated that DOOM: The Dark Ages will be released on the 15th of May, which seems quite plausible, as the date is perfect for such a big novelty.

Recall, Doom: The Dark Ages will be a prequel to DOOM (2016) and DOOM Eternal and will tell the backstory of the Executioner of Doom (Doom Slayer), when he was still serving the ancient gods. The new shooter will be much slower than the last part, and the stylistics will be dominated by gothic elements.

Doom: The Dark Ages will be released on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series, as well as Game Pass.
