Microsoft Edge Game Assist, a gaming widget similar to the Steam overlay, is now available in the Windows 11 game bar

Microsoft has released a new Game Assist feature for Windows 11, which is now available in the stable version of Microsoft Edge. Game Assist is a widget that appears in the Game Bar and offers tips and guides on games. It works similarly to Valve's Steam overlay browser and supports popular games such as Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Marvel Rivals, Dragon Age: The Veilguard and S.T.A.L.L.K.E.R. II: Heart of Chornobyl.
Here's What We Know
Previously, this feature was only available for beta users, but now it has arrived in the stable version of the browser. Game Assist can detect the games you're playing and provide contextual tips and guides in the sidebar. To enable this feature, open Microsoft Edge, go to Settings and search for "Game Assist," then install the widget.
Game Assist uses the same browser data as the main Microsoft Edge, including cookies, autocomplete and favourites. Microsoft has also added support for extensions such as ad blockers, and plans to add hotkey support and an improved picture-in-picture mode.
