Samsung may develop Galaxy Buds with cameras
Samsung's latest wireless earbuds, the Galaxy Buds 3 and Galaxy Buds 3 Pro, are among the best on the market, offering advanced features. However, the South Korean tech giant is planning to develop a version of Galaxy Buds with even more advanced features.
Here's What We Know
According to a new report by Mark Gurman on Bloomberg, Samsung is considering developing Galaxy Buds with cameras. Nothing else is known about the product, but other details indicate what the cameras might be used for in the upcoming headphones.
The publication reports that Meta is also working on wireless headphones with cameras, which will be called "Camera Buds". These headphones will allow users to look at objects and ask them for an analysis of that object. However, the cameras are likely to have limited viewing angles and there may also be visibility issues for people with long hair, which could lead to product cancellations.

Apple is also working on AirPods with infrared cameras. These cameras will recognise hand movements in the air, allowing users to more conveniently control various functions, replacing the touch controls of the current version of AirPods. In addition, this technology could make navigation easier with Apple Vision Pro.
Given Apple's and Meta's approaches to wireless headphones with cameras, Samsung's Galaxy Buds could be an alternative to smart glasses, allowing people to learn more about what they see, and also allowing for easier control of the company's upcoming XR headset, Project Moohan. However, this is only speculation.
Even if Samsung continues to develop Galaxy Buds with cameras, it will take a long time for the company to create this type of product, so don't expect them to hit the market anytime soon.
Samsung could possibly unveil the Project Moohan XR headset at the Galaxy Unpacked event, where the Galaxy S25 series will also be presented.
