The number of vacancies in the gaming industry in the UK decreased by 8%

The latest Games Jobs Live report shows the UK gaming labour market statistics for the first month of 2025. As of January 2025, the total number of vacancies has decreased to 696 positions.
Here's What We Know
The key market trends are as follows:
- 609 permanent and 87 temporary contracts
- 9 companies have more than 20 open positions
- 24% of vacancies allow flexible working hours
- 73% require partial presence in the office
- 11% are fully remote positions
Those who suffered the most:
- Service companies (-31% of vacancies)
- AAA studios (-11% of positions)
- Management roles (-22%)
The only exception was analytical positions, which showed an increase of 11%. Overall, however, the number of UK gaming vacancies fell by 8%.
