British brand Vauxhall has unveiled a new version of the Vivaro van called the GS. This 'sporty' trim is available with both a diesel engine and an all-electric version.

Here's What We Know

The Vivaro GS gets an aggressive aerodynamic dodger including a front bumper with an enlarged lip, side skirts, rear spoiler and 18-inch black alloy wheels. The seats are covered in eco-leather covers with red stitching and the GS logo on the backrests. Additional options include a 10-inch touchscreen multimedia system, dual-zone climate control, wireless smartphone charging and a reversing camera.

Under the bonnet of the diesel version is a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine with 178bhp, which is paired to an eight-speed automatic gearbox. The electric version has a 134 hp motor and a 50 kWh battery that provides a range of up to 209 miles (about 336 kilometres) on the WLTP cycle.

Although the styling pack components are likely to be compatible with similar Stellantis van models under the Citroen, Peugeot and Fiat brands, the GS trim remains exclusive to the UK version of the Vivaro for now.

UK prices for the Vauxhall Vivaro GS start at £39,990 (about $49,500) for the diesel version and £48,940 (about $60,500) for the electric version, excluding tax but subject to the government's electric vehicle subsidy.
