Mortal Kombat 1 sales exceed 5 million copies: NetherRealm is not going to end support for the game

NetherRealm Studios creative director Ed Boon shared important news about Mortal Kombat 1 fighting game.
Here's What We Know
In a series of tweets Ed Boon reminded that buyers of Khaos Reigns add-on, which includes Kombat Pack 2, can already play as Conan the Barbarian with the appearance of a young Arnold Schwarzenegger, and the rest of the players will have the character in a few days.
The developer said that Mortal Kombat 1 sales have exceeded 5 million copies (since autumn 2023).
(4 of 7) With over 5 million games sold, seeing Mortal Kombat 1 still in the top 15 most played Playstation 5 games makes us very grateful to Mortal Kombat fans. Thanks for continuing to support NetherRealm Studios games! pic.twitter.com/1BvH5gVLOW

The game designer thanked the public for their interest in the game and hinted that Mortal Kombat 1 will continue to receive DLC. This statement contradicts insider information that support for the fighting game will be discontinued due to poor sales of Khaos Reigns.
Mortal Kombat 1 is available on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and Nintendo Switch.
