Paramount Pictures has announced that the new Sonic the Hedgehog movie 'Sonic The Hedgehog 4' will be released in cinemas on 19 March 2027.

This news was confirmed after the company announced a sequel to the popular franchise last December, saying that the new instalment of the franchise would be released in spring 2027.
The first 'Sonic The Hedgehog' film was released in early 2020 and was a hit despite the pandemic, earning $467 million in total. The second film came out in 2022 and proved even more popular, earning $595 million worldwide. The third film, released last year in December, was also a success and has already surpassed $1 billion in box office receipts worldwide.
Paramount also said the films brought in more than $180 million through digital purchases and rentals. A trailer for the fourth film is expected to be available by the end of 2026.
