As we previously reported, at Samsung's Unpacked 2025 event, the Korean company unveiled a prototype of its first augmented reality (XR) headset under the working name Project Moohan.

This gadget is being created jointly with Google, but it turned out that the two corporations are working on another similar novelty.

Here's What We Know

President of the mobile division of Samsung Dr. TM Roh in an interview with Bloomberg confirmed that his company is working together with Google on augmented reality glasses, which have long been rumoured.

The executive did not reveal details of the new device and did not specify when it will go on sale, but emphasised that "Samsung and Google are trying to achieve the desired quality and readiness as soon as possible".

Samsung's AR glasses will be a completely standalone device but, like Project Moohan, will be powered by the purpose-built Android XR operating system.

It was previously reported that Samsung's AR glasses will look a lot like the Meta Ray Ban.
