After the success of "A New Empire" released last year, it is reported that Godzilla and Kong are gearing up for a new, third adventure in Legendary's "Monsters Universe". However, the official title of the film is still unknown.

Here's What We Know

According to the latest reports, the third film in the franchise, which will be directed by Grant Sputore, will feature one of the roles played by Kaitlyn Dever, who will also appear in the second season of The Last of Us. It is reported that in the new film will appear not only Godzilla and Kong, but also other titans. However, this time the creators plan to pay more attention to human characters, seeking to balance the drama of people and the actions of giant monsters.

The history of Legendary's Monsters of the Universe is ambiguous in regards to the human characters. In previous films, especially the Kong co-productions, the humans were often unserious or even silly. However, Apple's prequel and sequel series Monarch has shown that it's possible to create interesting human stories alongside exciting monster action. The new film promises to continue this trend, offering audiences a compelling story of both humans and titans.
