LG has presented the UltraGear 27G850A-B gaming monitor: 4K, 240Hz and HDR support

LG has unveiled a new 27-inch UltraGear 27G850A-B gaming monitor, which was initially launched in Japan. It is expected to become available in other countries in the near future.
Here's What We Know
The UltraGear 27G850A-B is equipped with a 4K Nano IPS matrix with a 240Hz refresh rate. In addition, the monitor supports an alternative mode with a 1080p resolution and a refresh rate of up to 480 Hz. The device offers a 1ms response time (GtG), 2000:1 contrast ratio, HDR peak brightness of up to 750 nits and standard brightness of 450 nits.
The monitor covers 99% of the DCI-P3 colour space and supports VESA DisplayHDR 600, AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and Nvidia G-SYNC technologies, which ensures vivid colours and smooth, tear-free gaming. For connectivity, the DisplayPort 2.1 UHBR13.5 port is used, which allows 4K transmission at 240 Hz, but with data compression (DSC). To transmit 4K without compression, a higher-bandwidth DisplayPort UHBR20 port would be required.

The UltraGear 27G850A-B is available for pre-order in Japan at a price of 129,800 yen (~$833). Given the price trends for other UltraGear monitors, we can expect this device to cost around $700-750 in the US.
The monitor will be an excellent choice for gamers who want the best image quality and smooth gaming experience. Thanks to its high refresh rate and support for adaptive sync technologies, the UltraGear 27G850A-B will be able to provide a comfortable gaming experience even in the most dynamic scenes.
The global release of the LG UltraGear 27G850A-B is expected to take place by the end of the year.
