Samsung's One UI 7.0-enabled smartphones will soon get a new security feature that is currently only available on Google Pixel devices

In December 2024, Google announced Identity Check for Android, a feature that prevents sensitive settings from being changed on stolen devices by requiring biometric data. On the same day, Samsung launched the One UI 7 beta programme based on Android 15 for Galaxy devices, which includes Identity Check.
The stable version of the software on the Galaxy S25 also includes this security feature.
Here's What We Know
Google has announced that Identity Check will be available on Galaxy devices with One UI 7 in the coming weeks. This announcement could mean that the feature will appear on devices with One UI 7.0 or will be available for devices eligible to upgrade to One UI 7.0, even if they are using an older version.

Owners of non-Samsung phones will reportedly only get this security feature by the end of this year.
