An ambitious fan mod for Fallout: New Vegas, which promised to immerse you in the post-apocalyptic city of Mexico City, suddenly stopped development.

Here's What We Know

The lead developer of the project released an emotional statement about the closure of the Nuevo Mexico mod. "This project has been my passion and a huge part of my life for years," he wrote in the Discord community.

The reason for the closure was the inability to continue development due to the enormous psychological and financial burden. The team consisted of less than four people, which made the project almost impossible to implement.

Last October, the developers presented an amazing trailer that showed a ruined Mexico City with flooded Sochimilco canals and the decaying Chapultepec colony. However, the dream remained unfulfilled.
