The HyperOS 2.1 update, which is currently only available in China, may soon be available internationally. The new version of the software for Xiaomi smartphones based on Android 15 will provide an improved AI experience on compatible devices.

Here's What We Know

According to the new data, the update may become available as early as February 2025, starting with the brand's flagship Xiaomi 14 Ultra.

HyperOS is now the main interface for Xiaomi smartphones, replacing MIUI, which the company has used since the beginning of its work in the smartphone market. The update to version 2.1, which is currently available in China, may be released for international devices under the name OS2.0.100.0.VNAMIXM, which confirms that the software version for the global market is ready.

One of the main new features of HyperOS 2.1 will be the integration of "Super Xiao Ai", which will provide a smarter AI experience, as well as a BeaconLink-like feature that allows smartphones to work as pagers without the need for Wi-Fi or a SIM card. In addition, the games, cameras, and home screen are expected to be improved.

HyperOS 2.1 will also include security updates until January 2025 and will be the basis for future smartphones such as Poco F7, F7 Pro and/or Ultra. As Xiaomi 14 Ultra is the company's flagship, this device is likely to be the first to receive the update.

The update may be available for all compatible devices by the end of February 2025.
