Google introduced themed icons to Android a few years ago, but many apps still don't support the feature. Microsoft Teams was one of the last to update, adding support for themed icons in its latest Android update.
Here's What We Know
Themed icons are being actively implemented by many apps, especially those developed by Google. They allow applications to automatically change their icons to match the system colour theme, which improves the visual integrity and usability of the device.
For many users, it is already possible to set up an entire homepage where almost all icons are themed. However, there are still a few applications that do not support this feature, and Microsoft Teams has long been one of them. It's an app that many employees are sure to use.

In its latest stable update, version 1416 for Android, Microsoft Teams now supports themed icons. All you need to do is enable the option in the home screen settings and the Teams widget will match the colours of your theme. This update was first spotted by @IntoGalaxy on Twitter/X, and 9to5Google has confirmed it on several devices.

It is worth noting that other Microsoft applications such as OneNote, Word, and some others still do not support thematic icons, although we can expect them to support this feature in the future. Given that Meta has long adapted its apps for this feature, there is a chance that Microsoft will update its other apps in the near future as well.
