The AARGM-ER is an air-launched supersonic tactical missile that is an improved version of the AARGM. It has a new high-performance airframe, an improved warhead and an updated propulsion system, which increases its effectiveness in modern combat conditions.
The system is being integrated into the US Navy's F/A-18E/F Super Hornet and EA-18G Growler aircraft, as well as the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter. It is also used by the US international partners, which underscores the strategic importance of the missile in air warfare.
