GSC Game World continues to improve the technical state of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl in 2025 and has recently released the first patch that addresses several key issues. The update is not a massive one, but it improves the game's stability and performance by fixing crashes, freezes during shader compilation, and memory leaks in the Rostock area. It also resolves the issue where long game saves suffered from performance drops when shooting or aiming.

Here's What We Know

One of the most difficult problems, according to the developer, was a shader compilation error. Players still experiencing it are advised to contact support. Xbox users, meanwhile, should find relief in a patch that prevents the loss of save files. Additionally, an occasional crash caused by UI animations has been fixed.

Looking ahead, GSC Game World is working on an upcoming update that we will announce at a later date.
