Marvel Snap changes publisher after being temporarily blocked in the US due to TikTok connection

After the recent blocking of TikTok in the US, which also affected the game Marvel Snap, developer Second Dinner announced a change of publisher. Previously, the game was published by Nuverse, a subsidiary of ByteDance (the owner of TikTok). Now Second Dinner will cooperate with the American publisher Skystone Games, founded in 2020 by former Blizzard employee David Brevik.

Last week, Marvel Snap became unavailable for players in the United States due to TikTok blocking, as its publisher Nuverse is owned by ByteDance. After the access was restored, Second Dinner decided to take over most of the operational and publishing responsibilities, working with Skystone Games to prevent similar situations in the future.

Skystone Games is a small American publisher known for titles such as Tyrant's Realm and It Lurks Below. Cooperation with Second Dinner will be a significant step forward for them, given the popularity of Marvel Snap.
