Atari recently announced that The Thing: Remastered has become Nightdive Studios' fastest-selling game to date. In its business report, the company emphasised that the acquisition of the studio in 2023 was a strategic success and strengthened its focus on high-quality games.

However, The Thing: Remastered is not the only one: Atari also noted the successful performance of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Rita's Rewind, which reached number three on the Nintendo eShop bestseller list, and RollerCoaster Tycoon Classic, which reached the top 15.

Released in December for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series, The Thing: Remastered revives the cult classic 2002 shooter inspired by the 1982 horror film.
The game retains the original gameplay while introducing modern enhancements such as improved controls, enhanced lighting and high-resolution textures. Nightdive Studios made more than 1,500 code changes to optimise the game for modern platforms.
