TP Vision has unveiled a new flagship OLED+950 TV, which features the latest tandem OLED panel from LG Display.

Here's What We Know

Thanks to this technology, the TV reaches a peak brightness in HDR mode of up to 3,700 nits, which is significantly higher than traditional OLED displays. Full-screen brightness is limited to 350 nits.

For comparison, the 2024 LG OLED G4 with MLA-OLED panel has a peak brightness of 1,550 nits and a full-screen brightness of 224 nits. However, the actual brightness in everyday use is usually lower than the one stated in marketing materials.

In addition to increased brightness, the new display has improved colour reproduction. Philips OLED+950 covers 99.5% of the DCI-P3 colour space and 83% of the BT.2020 space. An anti-reflective coating minimises unwanted reflections, ensuring a better viewing experience in bright rooms.

The new panel consumes 20% less power than the previous generation thanks to its improved efficiency. An advanced AI processor also improves contrast and HDR performance. The TV's gaming mode automatically detects the genre of the game and optimises the picture. Users can create and save setting profiles for specific games. One of the features is the ability to zoom in and move the game card to a convenient location on the screen.

The Philips OLED+950 is equipped with a 70W 2.1 audio system with a subwoofer and four passive radiators for deep and rich bass.

Philips OLED+950 will go on sale in the second half of 2025 in 65 and 77-inch sizes. TP Vision has not yet disclosed the price of the device.
