Finns present a new Steel Eagle ER attack drone developed specifically for the Ukrainian army

The Finnish company Insta Group Oy, together with Ukrainian specialists, has developed a new Steel Eagle ER attack drone for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the manufacturer's website reported on 29 January.
Here's What We Know
The copter is equipped with a special ammunition with ready-made elements that explodes in the air above the target. It is an improved version of the previous Finnish drone, and the acronym ER stands for "extended range".
The drone is controlled by FPV goggles or a handheld remote control that transmits live video from the camera. Ukrainian partners provide improved equipment that increases the drone's performance, range and payload, said Tuure Lehtoranta, Sales Director of Defence Business at Insta.

The patented munition contains a 3.6 kg explosive charge and more than 3,000 steel or tungsten balls that can hit an area of up to 2,000 sq m. It can penetrate the roof of lightly armoured vehicles from a height of several tens of metres.
The drone is resistant to electronic warfare, and its exact range is not disclosed. The Steel Eagle ER is currently available on the Ukrainian market, but exports to the EU and NATO countries are planned in the future.
