A player under the nickname b00lin has successfully completed almost two years of litigation with Activision to unlock his Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 account and refund the purchase of the game.
Here's What We Know
After 36.2 hours of playing the beta version of Modern Warfare 2, b00lin received a permanent ban notice for allegedly using cheats and manipulating game data. Despite repeated appeals and attempts to contact Activision support, the company refused to provide evidence of the violations, citing the security of the anti-cheat system.
Disagreeing with the decision, b00lin decided to go to court. After 763 days of legal struggle, the court ruled that Activision should unlock the player's account and refund the money for the game.
