Porsche has opened its fifth Charging Lounge with up to 400kW of charging capacity

Porsche has expanded its network of charging stations with the opening of the fifth Charging Lounge in Hamburg-Rahlstedt, Germany. It is located next to the "Porsche Approved Service Centre" and close to the A1 motorway, providing a convenient charging point for both locals and travellers heading to the Baltic Sea.
Here's What We Know
The new Lounge is equipped with four DC fast charging stations with a capacity of up to 400 kW. This allows Porsche electric cars such as the Taycan to charge from 10 per cent to 80 per cent in just 18 minutes. The design of the facility reflects Porsche's signature style. Seating with in-built speakers, a wide range of drinks and snacks, modern sanitary facilities and high-speed Wi-Fi are provided for visitor comfort.
The Porsche Charging Lounge has been created with a modular, sustainability-conscious approach: using steel, wood and stone instead of concrete, installing a heat pump for heating and air conditioning, and solar panels on the roof for partial energy supply.

This lounge is the fifth in the Porsche network, joining stations already in operation in Bingen am Rhein, Estenfeld near Würzburg, Koblach (Austria) and Ingolstadt. Porsche Charging Lounges are displayed on the cars' PCM display and in the My Porsche app. A Porsche ID is required to access the charging stations and lounge. If the number plate is linked to a Porsche ID, the barrier opens automatically using number plate recognition.
