Apple may resume advertising on X after a break due to scandals with Elon Musk

Apple may resume buying ads on X (formerly Twitter). The Wall Street Journal reports that the company has already held talks with X about the possibility of resuming advertising on this platform.
Here's What We Know
The discussions took place "in recent weeks".
Apple was among the companies that did not stop advertising after Elon Musk acquired Twitter, but in 2023, following Musk's anti-Semitic remarks and instances of Apple ads appearing next to propaganda content supporting Hitler, the company stopped its advertising campaigns.
Musk's recent gesture, which was interpreted as a Nazi salute at Donald Trump's inauguration, may raise doubts about the appropriateness of Apple's decision to resume advertising on X. Musk is a close adviser to Trump and is actively involved in political processes in the former president's administration. However, it is worth noting that Apple CEO Tim Cook made a $1 million donation to Trump's inauguration and also attended the event, although Apple itself did not participate in the financing.
The Wall Street Journal also reports that several large companies are reviewing their policies on advertising on X. Amazon plans to increase its advertising spending, which could help the platform reduce its debts.
In January, Musk said that the number of users was not growing, revenues were low, and the company was barely breaking even.
