Netflix will hold its next Tudum fan event on 31 May 2025 in Los Angeles. For the first time, the company will broadcast the event live on its own platform, instead of the previous broadcasts on YouTube, Twitch and Netflix social media.

Here's What We Know

The move demonstrates the streaming service's desire to increase its presence in the live events sector and keep millions of users engaged on its own platform.

Tudum is an event that has become a real celebration for Netflix fans. The name of the event comes from the distinctive sound that is heard at the beginning of every programme on the platform.
It is a kind of presentation of the company's content, where viewers are shown new products, behind-the-scenes materials and exclusive teasers of upcoming shows and films. Tudum features a star-studded line-up of actors, directors and creators.

Last year's event in São Paulo attracted 11,000 participants and was watched by 78 million viewers. With such a large audience, streaming the event directly on the Netflix platform makes a lot of strategic sense.

In the past, Netflix has already attempted to launch live streaming on several occasions. For example, in 2023, the platform broadcast a special comedy show by Chris Rock. In addition, in 2024, Netflix acquired the rights to broadcast the Screen Actors Guild Awards and organised a fight between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul. However, the latter event was accompanied by technical problems, which underscores the importance of live streaming stability.

The details are currently being kept under wraps, but Netflix recommends checking the Tudum website.
