British manufacturer Morgan is preparing a new flagship sports car that will be officially unveiled this spring. The debut date has not yet been determined, but the company has already shown pictures of the prototype. The car will remain recognisable, but at the same time will get a more modern design with improved aerodynamics.

Here's What We Know

The novelty will be based on the evolution of the CX platform, which debuted in 2019. It will become lighter and stiffer, and under the bonnet will be placed BMW's inline six. The previous Morgan Plus Six used BMW's 3.0-litre B58 turbo engine that produced 335bhp and 500Nm. Now, it is likely that the powertrain will produce even more, because, for example, the Toyota Supra has the same B58 develops 382 hp.

It is worth noting that the new Morgan will not be a direct successor to the Plus Six, the production of which ended last year. The company promises better dynamics and improved performance.

Morgan said it will share new information "at the appropriate time." But given that the presentation will take place this spring, we won't have to wait long.
