Android 16 will have new features for hearing aids

Google recently unveiled LE Audio compatibility with hearing aids at the Samsung Unpacked event. Thanks to the first beta of Android 16, it's now known how this will help hearing aid users.
Here's What We Know
Android 16 may introduce two new features that will greatly improve the use of hearing aids. The first feature is a surround sound volume control for LE Audio hearing aids. According to Google, this feature allows users to adjust the level of background noise they want to hear. For example, ambient noise can be reduced in noisy environments and increased in quiet environments.

The second feature allows you to use your smartphone's microphone for voice calls instead of your hearing aid microphone. This can be useful when the hearing aid microphone is not working properly. Also switching between the built-in microphones on the hearing aids and the microphone on the phone can be useful when the hearing aid battery is low. In addition, there will be the ability to control the volume of the external environment, either for an individual earpiece or for both at once.
These features are still in development, so there is no way to check or test them right now. More information on this will come in future Android 16 beta releases.
