Moto G (2025) is presented in the USA: 5G, 120Hz display and Dolby Atmos for $199

Motorola has launched the Moto G (2025) 5G budget smartphone for $199.99 in the US. Its main competitor is Samsung Galaxy A16 5G.
Here's What We Know
The smartphone is equipped with a Dimensity 6300 processor, 4 GB of RAM, and 128 GB of storage. The main advantage of the device is a 6.6-inch IPS display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a front camera notch, which differs from the outdated "teardrop" notch in the A16 5G. However, the Moto G (2025) screen has only HD+ resolution, while the competitor offers FHD+.
The cameras of the two models are similar: both have a 50 MP main sensor and a 2 MP macro lens. However, the Galaxy A16 5G has an additional 5 MP ultra-wide module.
Among the advantages of Moto G (2025) is a vegan leather body in Forest Gray and Sapphire Blue colours. In addition, the smartphone is equipped with stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support and a classic 3.5 mm headphone jack, which is becoming increasingly rare in modern smartphones.
The Moto G (2025) runs Android 15 out of the box, while the Galaxy A16 5G starts with Android 14, but will receive up to 6 major OS updates.
The battery in the Moto G (2025) has a capacity of 5000 mAh and supports fast charging at 30W, while Samsung is limited to 25W. The Galaxy A16 5G has IP54 protection, while the Moto G has only a water-repellent coating.
Motorola recently introduced the Moto G15 Power smartphone with a 6000 mAh battery and Android 15. The Moto G15 Power will be available in two colours: Gravity Grey and Iguana Green.
