The Veilguard did not meet expectations: BioWare cuts staff to less than 100 employees

Bloomberg reported that BioWare, the studio known for its Dragon Age and Mass Effect series, has reduced the number of employees to less than 100. Two years ago, the company employed more than 200 people.
Here's What We Know
After the release of Dragon Age: The Veilguard, some employees were temporarily transferred to other teams within Electronic Arts. Later, these transfers became permanent, and about two dozen employees were fired. Currently, the studio's core team is focused on the development of the new Mass Effect instalment.
Earlier, in August 2023, BioWare already announced the dismissal of about 50 employees as part of the reorganisation. At the time, the studio's general manager, Gary McKay, noted that these measures were aimed at increasing the flexibility and efficiency of the team.
Currently, the studio is in the early stages of Mass Effect 5 development, but after the recent events, fans are concerned about whether BioWare will be able to create a quality game.
